Ciara’s ‘Parking Lot Pimpin’ Interfered by Police

Singer Ciara had a brush with cops on Tuesday night, May 11 when a playback of her new songs prompted complaints from local residents. The “Goodies” hitmaker was celebrating a pal’s birthday in Los Angeles when they decided to continue the party in a nearby parking lot.

Ciara insisted it was the perfect time to unveil her latest recordings to her friends – but their raucous reactions resulted in a visit from police officers. In a series of posts on her Twitter she writes, “Tonight was sooo much fun!! I originally had plans to go to the Victoria Secret party, but that changed (at the) last minute… and I headed to celebrate my friend’s birthday party!”

“It was sooo much fun, and the funny thing to top it off was we all decided to go to a parking lot and play a few of the newest songs I recorded and we realized we had the music just a little too loud because the police came by and said they had received reports of loud music!! But thank God we had the music down in time, and there was no trouble with the po po (police).”

And the singer even managed to charm the two cops into posing for pictures:

“We actually ended up taking photos together!!… Here’s a pic of me and the police officers. Thought it (would) be fun to share my night with u!”

Justin Timberlake to Re-Open Golf Course in July

Justin Timberlake is to open his new golf course in his native Memphis, Tennessee in July – and he reveals the place has very special memories for him. The pop superstar and golf fanatic is the brains behind the revamped Miramichi Lakes country club, which was the first place he learned to hit a ball.

He says, “This was the course where my dad taught me to hit a golf ball. I was really young, so all I really cared about was girls at the time. We actually have done some pretty cool things with this course; we had to re-do the whole course. We’re the first course in America to be certified an eco-friendly golf course.”

Golf Course aside, Justin Timberlake has spent some quality time with his girlfriend Jessica Biel last weekend despite being hit with numerous break up reports. They attended Tribeca hand in hand and went to Timbaland concert at Drai’s Hollywood.

Ne-Yo Writes Script for a New Movie

R&B superstar Ne-Yo has written a script for a new movie – and used the film’s storyline to inspire his next album. The “So Sick” hitmaker is in talks with Hollywood bosses to turn his screenplay into a big screen picture, and is hoping to release an album and graphic novel based on its plot.

He tells Britain’s Daily Star, “I developed a script and I’m in the process of getting a Hollywood studio to turn it into a movie. My new album is a series of songs inspired by the script that I wrote, but it’s not a musical.”

“I’ve got a few friends in the graphic novel business, so we will storyboard it but release it as a book first. The underlying question is about your moral fibre. Is love, money and fame more important to you? The movie is really me and my friends answering that question.”

Rihanna Missing Matt, Tries To Make Long Distance Work

Seems no amount of money can even stop people from missing one another, the same can be said for Rihanna and new boyfriend Matt Kemp. While on her worldwide tour she’s having to settle for video messages and text. With Rihanna trekking around Europe, and Matt’s own busy schedule means they won’t see each other again until June.

Rihanna tells Britain’s Daily Mirror, “I was hoping he would be able to come to London but he’s working. And I’m touring and shooting videos for my next single, so it’s going to be seven weeks before I see him again. It’ll probably be when I get back to America that we can hook up properly.”

“We have to make do with Skype and phone, but I miss him. I can’t wait to see him again.” Kemp is a star slugger for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Sandra Bullock Introduces New Baby To The World and Talks Divorce

Talk about being able to keep a secret from the world. Sandra Bullock not only speaks on her divorce in a People Magazine interview, but she introduces her son Louis Bardo Bullock to the world. A baby she initially adopted with Jesse James in January and kept away from family and friends for 5 months. Thank god Sandra adopted Louis from right here in the states as opposed to going overseas. She spoke to people about her new baby:

He’s just perfect, I can’t even describe him any other way, It’s like he’s always been a part of our lives.”

She spoke briefly on the divorce saying:

“Yes, I have filed for divorce,” said Sandra. “I’m sad and I am scared.”

Jesse released a statement in regards to Sandy, baby, and the divorce:

“The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart.

“Sandy is the love of my life, but considering the pain and devastation I have caused her, it would be selfish to not let her go. Right now it is time for me to beat this addiction that has taken two of the things I love the most in life.”

We wish Sandra and Louis well, along with peace from the paparazzi.

DJ Premiere Responds to Guru’s Last Letter

Rapper Guru’s former Gang Starr collaborator DJ Premier has paid tribute to the star, describing him as “a brother” – despite his late friend reportedly slating him in a farewell letter.

The hip-hop legend was admitted to a New York medical facility in February after he suffered a heart attack and slipped into a coma. He was diagnosed with anoxia, a condition where the body lacks an adequate supply of oxygen. It was later revealed Guru, real name Keith Elam, was also battling cancer, but chose to keep the news private. He passed away on Monday, April 19.

Following his death, his business partner Solar released a letter from Guru, in which he apparently wrote that his final wish was that Premier, who he reportedly hadn’t spoken to in seven years, must not be attached to anything using his “likeness, events, tributes etc.” or “connected in any way to my situation”, reports AllHipHop.com.

The request raised speculation the letter isn’t real, but in a post on Solar’s Twitter.com page he slammed the reports, writing, “Guru made this statement from his own mouth and anybody saying different is insane with Hate!”

But despite the controversy surrounding their alleged fractured relationship, Premier has issued his own statement honouring his former colleague and claiming the pair was planning to reunite for a seventh album. He writes, “It was a sad day for me to get confirmation on the death of a man who I will continue to call my brother, Keith Elam, better known as Guru of the legendary Gang Starr…”

“I’ve been asked to comment on a letter speaking ill of me which was supposedly written by Guru in his dying days. All I will say about it is that our time together was beautiful, we built a hip-hop legacy together, and no one can re-write history or take away my love for him… I love you Goo… DJ Premier.”

Notorious B.I.G.’s Wrongful Death Case Comes to an End

A wrongful death lawsuit filed by the mother of the late Notorious B.I.G. against the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has been thrown out of court, eight years after the complaint was originally lodged.

The rap great, real name Christopher Wallace, was shot dead in Los Angeles in 1997, aged just 24. His murder has never been solved, despite witness reports and a plethora of conspiracy theories linking his death to the murder of rap rival Tupac Shakur, who was killed in September, 1996.

His mother Voletta Wallace blamed L.A. city officials and the LAPD for her son’s tragic death and filed suit against them in 2002. In her legal papers, Voletta claimed Shakur’s label boss, rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, had conspired with alleged gunman Amir Muhammad and LAPD officers Rafael Perez and David Mack to kill B.I.G., although no one has ever been charged with his murder.

The Wallace family initially won the case in March, 2006, when U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper ruled in their favor and awarded them a $1.1 million judgment against the city’s authorities. The ruling was subsequently overturned two months later when it was revealed the Wallaces had held back information they had previously told the court they did not have access to, reports AllHipHop.com.

The case returned to court earlier this year and, after a series of hearings, federal court Judge Jacqueline Nguyen dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice this week, ending the eight-year court battle.
